Insurance Claims
Northern Lakes Boat Works facility is 100% authorized by your insurer. We are a one stop shop in that our services include body repair and rentals. Give us a call if you have an insurance claim, we will happy to provide you with a premium boat rental boat while yours is being repaired and refinished back to factory condition.
Colour Sanding & Polishing
Has your boat experienced fading? Does it have light scratches or dock rash on the sides of the boat that you’re tired of looking at? Our sand & polish service is a lot quicker and easier than you think. Gelcoat is put on thick; many of these marks & fading will easily come out and come up looking like new!
Collision Repair

Paint codes aren’t prevalent in the marine industry which makes matching the colour of your boat a difficult process. Whereas the automotive world now uses computers, the marine world must do this by eye. Our team guarantees a perfect colour match, so that your boat will only look as it should after a repair.

Osmosis (Blisters), Stress (Spider) Cracks
Osmosis and stress cracks are both serious issues, especially if you are experiencing either one of these issues on the hull of your watercraft. If left untreated, osmosis will slowly add more moisture into your hull which will ultimately protrude into the core of your boat. Both are visually unappealing, but more importantly both are significantly damaging to the long-term health and value of your Boat or PWC.
I have seen Dave Kushner's work for 15 years. He has the ability to complete the most complex fibreglass rebuilds and finish them with the detail of an artist. He is also the best in the business when it comes to perfectly matching colours and blending gelcoat repairs.

Our History
For over a decade we have been operating Northern Lakes Marine, a watercraft rental company that services all of Muskoka, Ontario. In 2001, NLM began operating with just two personal watercrafts; today NLM boasts the largest fleet of watercrafts for rent in Ontario. What has made NLM a success to date are some very basic principals; First-Class Service, Premium Products & Unbeatable Prices. This recipe of success has surely been applied to Northern Lakes Boat Works as it aims to improve the competitive landscape for consumers and dealers alike.

Northern Lakes Boat Works (NLBW) is located in Gravenhurst, Ontario and services all of the Muskoka Region with marine fibreglass and gelcoat repair. NLBW’s team of experienced techs have the ability to tackle any job, from small scratches to major accident claims. When you bring your watercraft to NLBW expect the best, each of our techs has been hand-picked based on their workmanship. Our head tech, herself has over 15 years of experience with watercraft cosmetic refinishing and was specifically recruited because of her unique skill set.
If your watercraft needs cosmetic or structural repairs, look no further as we have already done the research and bring you the best team of Gel tech’s to make your boat or pwc (sea-doo) like new again. Your watercraft will be kept in our gated compound, under 24 hour video surveillance which is broadcasted online, your watercraft will always be covered and work will be completed in our heated shop. Furthermore, when your watercraft has been completed, expect the repairs areas to be restored to factory condition; your watercraft will be fully detailed and ready for the water.
